Our Story

Always dabbling in creative spaces...

In late April 2024, I was co-chairing a gala for our son's Choral Academy. While enjoying coffee on a Saturday morning, I brainstormed affordable centerpiece ideas for over 25 tables. Asking local florists for donations felt impractical. Since the room would be filled with artists, I aimed to create something special. I quickly made a mockup of a paper rose with supplies from my craft room. After a few texts with my co-host and the Academy staff, I ended up crafting over 75 flowers from sheet music for the gala held in early June. It turned out perfectly, marking the start of this unexpected journey.

Growing up as the daughter of a talented artist, I was fortunate enough to have constant access to a variety of paints, papers and a wide range of crafts of various sorts. This exposure nurtured my creativity and allowed me to experiment endlessly throughout my childhood.

My mom passed away in April 2011. She had just moved in with my husband, son (her only grandchild), and me in northern California. We reduced her art supplies and finished pieces before the move, but there was still a lot to share and store for later.

In 2013, we moved back to Gig Harbor, WA, and found a home with a great craft room. We unpacked her supplies along with my collection from over the years.
